Episode 4: Week of February 6, 2015

This week, Drew Bennett of Benspark.com wastes no time launching into comic book and comic-related TV news. He discusses some of his favorite Comic Book related TV shows like The Flash, Arrow, Gotham, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter as well as the upcoming Teen Titans live action show and more.

Jeff of OWTK.com reclaims his place as the most vocal champion for independent family music in previewing the Grammy Awards lone children’s category and the four kindie rock nominees (Okee Dokee Brothers, The Pop Ups, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo, and Brady Rymer) and making an impassioned plea for the value and benefit of modern kid’s music.

Jeff also gives a quick shout out to This One Summer, the first graphic novel to be recognized with a Caldecott Honor. He’d also like to point out the greatness that is the sweet-as-pie Mr. Putter & Tabby series of books for young children by Cynthia Rylant . Her latest, Turn The Page, received an honorable mention in the ‘Dr. Seuss’ Theodor Geisel Award category.

The guys then gush over Skylanders Trap Team for probably WAY too long*, but when you have three grown men with massive Skylanders collections and microphones, that’s sometimes what happens!

*Drew mistakenly calls Legendary Ignitor and Inferno and he is ever so shamefaced in his Skylanders expert status.
